Paul Merton's Impro Chums
Edinburgh 2010, Pleasance Courtyard.

Bob Wells
Utterly superb. Best thing we saw from a list of 10!
10/10

Paul Merton and his Improv chums really are masters at this. A great show with some really intelligent and quick witted improvisation. I was especially impressed by Richard Vranch - who I'd thought was primarily a musician - and Mike McShane

Susan Mccallum
go to this show every year! can always depend on consistent, improvised humour. some situations funnier than others, but these 5 keep the show flowing and must be exhausted at the end of it!

Peter Methven
Paul Merton was very good, improvisation was high paced and linked from sketch to sketch quite well. The whole collective of improvisers worked really well, and seemed a well balanced team.

Charmian Walter
Never ceases to amaze me that they give such a great show year after year.

We went to see the show last Tuesday and Thursday. Both shows were the same but different. Most enjoyable. My husband is the fan so I was unsure about going for two shows. Very funny. My only complaint is the bad language,I'm showing my age, still under 60, just. Not as bad as some of the shows we have seen. It's modern day living I'm afraid. Me a Grumpy Old Woman, never......

Ian Wittet
An excellent bit of entertainment.

anthony Ball
An hours long show just like 'who's line is it anyway' but better, fast a funny with all themes coming from the audience and Paul and his friends pulled it off perfectly. Very very funny.

James Towers
Pure Genius, it's all made up!

Sukhdeep Gill
A really good stand-up for the British audience, also the other actors were very funny each providing their own part to the show. I felt for international people some jokes may be wasted, but the improv (as expected) was top notch!
David Sayers
Very good performances from all the chums. Lee Simpson was excellent and of course Paul merton shone as always. Very enjoyable experience.

Anne Parker
Hilarious!!! All of us enjoyed it, me and daughters aged 23 and 17. Every show will be different - obviously! Will be trying to get tickets for another showing. All I am going to say is we saw more of Richard Vranch than we were expecting!!

David Mallett
I saw this show last year and had to go again. These 5 people need some bottle to go out there and improvise every day but it is has been on both occasions an absolutely brilliant and witty performance. Social networking sites, predictable stand up comedy and moden life tends to dull the brain, but these guys are razor sharp. I wish I had done metal work at school!

Stephen Jackson
Wasn't sure what to expect, but soon go the the hang of it. Very funny and very entertaining

Andrew Clark
Was very impressed by this show last year so went back again this year. Doing good improvised comedy is a real skill, and these 4 people have it in spades! They use both shouted-out audience suggestions and slips of paper filled in as you enter to build an absolutely hillarious series of sketches and off-the-cuff comedy. All are very good with quick ideas, accents, mimes and even songs that keep the audience laughing from start to finish. Cannot recommend it highly enough. 5/5.

MARK ADAMS
Just as side-splitting as last year. Such consistency seems to defy the concept of 'impro(v)'

Bruce Quin
Ideal for fans of "Whose Line Is It Anyway", This was a fantastic show. I was particularly impressed with Lee Simpson. More of him please!

ANN FIELDEN
Fast, furious and very funny. Paul and chums are all so quick witted - will see them again

Nicholas Lewkowicz
Very skilled improvisation with an excellent cast. The large venue doesn't particularly aid the audience interaction.

linda Tucker
Paul Merton and his Impro Chums never cease to amaze with their quick humour and responses to audience suggestions. I laughed so much and it was over too soon!

Alan Douglas
Very clever show from a great group of inventive imaginative and ingenious performers. It's a dangerous challenge they've set themselves but on our afternoon it was superb fun.

Gordon King
Quick off the cuff, witty, good clean humour 5 stars

Mark Bacon
A fun hour with an audience packed to the rafters. A talented group of chums and Paul didn't fail to impress.

Bill McKinley
Unbelievably talented group of performers … very high standard of entertainment. Highly recommended!

Anne Webster
Great show! Thoroughly enjoyed it as did everyone in my party. We are a varied bunch: artist, retired, priest, accountant a Mum. The venue became uncomfortably hot but otherwise we liked it's simplicity.

Jean McCartney
Paul Merton and his team work hard to delight the sell-out audience. Those coming to this improvisation show for the first time must be very impressed, but once you have seen a few shows over the years the techniques begin to be apparent and there are a few deja vu moments. Still good, though.

Claire Darwin
Excellent as always

Sam Jennings
As with any improvised show there were some misses along with the hits, but overall it was a very entertaining show as you would expect from the talented and experienced group.

corinne Orton
pretty good! laugh a minute!

Edward Miller
literally the funniest thing to emerge from audience suggestions
